High resolution satellites (e.g. those operated by commercial satellite companies like GeoEye or DigitalGlobe) are used to take pictures of Earth. These salllites continuously capture high resolution imagery then transmit it to a ground station for processing. The selection of pictures is automated and programmed into the satellite from the ground.
Pictures taken by an astronaut could be taken from a hand-held digital camera. The astronaut in that cause manually focuses the camera on a point of interest and takes the picture.
One process is automated by machine (with instructions from humans) and the other directly by a human.
pictures from satelites
satelites.
Satelites have many uses but these are some of them.... To find out the weather forecast For taking pictures in space For using T.V transmissions And For using communication These are just some of the uses but there are many more
The astronauts were collecting moon rocks and taking pictures as well.
Satellite
no but they have taken pictures
The scientists are able to identify the different types of galaxies by high powered telescopes and by examining the pictures sent by various satellites orbiting the universe.
Telescopes, Pictures,Satellites, and Probes
they use satelites to take pictures of the sky then the photos get transmited to computers after that people use the photo and try to figure out the weather
by not going to the moon at all and taking the pictures somewhere else
