Having a collections company on your credit report is not good, but if you make payments to the collection company on time and dont miss any, your credit can come back to where it was before collections started.

Your best option would be to use a traditional dating site, and filter by race. Women typically are approached rather than the opposite, so you'll typically have your choice once you filter your results by ethnicity.

How does a company report someone to the credit bureau?

The original creditor either sells the debt to a collection agency or the collection agency may aquire the debt on a contingency basis. At any rate once the account is in collections 30 days from the date of turn over the collection agency has the right to report the account to the credit bureau. Accounts are sent to the credit bureau via internet with encrypted files.

Is it possible for a collection agency to remove the Sent to Collection Agency on your credit report?

Yes. There is no federal or state law which compels or requires credit reporting. It is totally voluntary. There are costs for creditors to place data on credit report and to update that data. While it is possible, and all consumers should certainly attempt to have collection accounts removed, you also need to be aware that it is unlikely.

Should payment be sent to the credit card company or the collection agency?

If you have a collection agency working for the credit card company then it is them you need to make payments too as it is now too late to pay the credit card company. They have sold the debt to the collection company and you will have to pay any charges on top of the debt now also. Try not to let it get that far in future, but that's easier said than done.

How do you remove a paid collection from your credit report if you paid even though disputed and did not agree with it and provided proof to original creditor who still sent you to a collection agency?

Don't let a collection agency push you around. As a consumer you have many rights. The best places for anyone to exercise their rights are in small claims courts. For less than $100 you can bring a collection agency to their knees.

When is the debt reported to the credit bureau?
