I have a 2003 Dodge Neon and I had the same question! The websites and the owner's manual will tell you 12.5 gal. I believe, However, that some of that gas is used as reserve fuel. I drove my neon until the gas light went on. I had between 1/16 and 1/32 of a tank left. After 9.203 gal (including topping off) my gas tank was full. I live in NJ, in NJ gas station attendants pump gas instead of customers. Therefore, I did not underfill my tank. I have also noticed this 10 gal. ballpark size before. In other words, while the tank holds 12.5 gal, you probably won't be able to use 12.5 gal of fuel because the warning light will go off before 10. Also, don't use the tank gauge to measure fuel economy.
