Diesel 2.7 Turbo from a Terrano. I did it (in a D21 1991 Pathfinder model) and it gave better fuel economy and huge torque difference. Only issues were the D21 gearbox/clutch where I needed a spacer for the gears to mesh correctly, and you need a good radiator. The D21 Radiator won't cope in hot conditions. You also might need to upgrade your front suspension or lift it a bit due to the slight extra weight.
Other things such as aircon brackets, fuel filter mounts etc were solve for pennies from wreckers.
Overall, it has a similar performance to the V6 without the guzzle.
