Help it breathe, install free flowing intake, and larger exhaust with fewer restrictions and you should gain some.
There are also performance chips out that will tune your engine for high performance as opposed to high mileage as it is now.

It has no relation to the Patriot. **this depends on the year of the unlimted. Older unlimiteds like an 05 or 06 still have the 4.0l 6cyl engine like previous jeeps. The older ones also came in 2 doors and different packages like rubicon. These vehicles have the extended wheelbase, and cargo capacity. They also have the upgraded rear axsle that comes in the rubicon package. After 07 they changed to the engine and advantages listed above**
