Most people travel to Oman by car, it is about a 9 hour journey. You can inquire at travel agencies regarding private coach operators and short flights by local airlines.

There is no express bus station, however there is a main bus terminal at Medinat Zayed in Abu Dhabi.

There are three ways to get there. You can go by your own car which would take approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. It is a straight drive as you don't enter the busiest part of Dubai. You can also go by taxi-the most expensive-costing between Dh 100-250 depending how far you go into Dubai or beyond to other Emirates. The other way it to go to the main bus terminal in Medinat Zayed Abu Dhabi, take the bus that directly takes you to Ibin Battuta Mall for around DH 25. To return to Abu Dhabi , you can get the bus from the same mall.
No, but if there were a lot of you I would recommend just hiring a bus which will take you there and bring you back (like a personal bus service).
In between the two cities, there is only one bus station. the first when you get into dubai is at ibn batuta and you can from there board a taxi or use the train.
The UAE is actually located along with Saudi Arabia and an number of other Middle Eastern states on it's own tectonic plate, which lies between the African, Asian and European plates; for all intense and purpose it is normally recoginsed as being part of the Asian continent.See image link below
You can get a Taxi either from Dubai International airport, or the Main Taxi Stand in Dubai. This will either take you to your destination or another main taxi stand within Abu Dhabi. It will cost betweem DH 200-300.
Currently, the only option is to travel by road, either by driving yourself, taxi, or bus. There are plans to create a rail link between the two cities, but it is quite a few years away- construction has not yet begun. Depending on where in Dubai and where in Abu Dhabi you want to travel between, travel time can vary from 1.5 to 2.5 hours - and of course, you need to allow for (at times) horrendous traffic. It is a straight road - a 5 lane highway, which can be very busy and you should be aware that the driving standards here are erratic - to say the least. There are plenty of service stations on the highway, and also lots of speed cameras.
At the moment Bus or taxi, although I think the Dubai Mass transit system is supposed to eventually link up with one from AD
