If its a factory system...Get out of the car with the key in hand, Lock then unlock the drivers door. (Key only not with the remote) Then try to start the vehicle. If this doesnt work, the Immobilizer unit could be bad (common is chevys) or an aftermarket alarm could be triggering it off due to improper wiring.
If you are referring to the immobilizers that are placed on "buy here - pay here" type vehicles, it is illegal for you to tamper with such devices until the vehicle is paid for. tampering with it in any way could result in criminal charges being filed against you.
If your battery has been disconnected and your key fob will now not work to cancel the imobiliser try this, Open the key fob cover and carefully remove the larger of the two battries give it a wipe for good measure and then replace into its slot, go and sit in your car with doors closed and then press the open and close buttons alternately about four times, the doors will lock just press the open button and your imobiliser is imobilized and you can now start your car. It works for me every time.

how do you disable rover 25 car alarm
hello i recently had problems with 98 106 diesel. my imobiliser was keypad type next to the gear lever. the problem i had is that it would not turn its self off and the engine would not work. the way to reset it is to disconnect a connection which is next to the passenger head light. it is a round connection which is quite big. unscrew this, makesure it is clean and reconnect. start the engine. while the engine is running lift out the imobiliser key pad and disconnect the plug. turn off engine and restart no need for imobiliser!!!!! hope this helps
how do i disable my car alarm on a 2004 nissan Murano sl
No.
having a flat battery should not damage a car however in newer cars you might have to get some things re-set like the imobiliser, ecu etc
You have asked a car theft enabling question, Naughty! If you are entitled to this information your friendly BMW dealer will be happy to provide it.
Hidden, where you can't see them to disable them.
What I did was get a new ECU that had the Imobiliser removed, perhaps not so secure but they are known to be trouble. Cost about £80. Had no problems since.
he was in a car crash
