You will have to remove the dashboard in order to get to the lites. Autozone.com has detailed instructions. However, first check the fuses. If you don't know where the fuse box is, look in your owner's manual. If you don't have a manual, call up or stop back your local Mazda dealership.
What i often do is park the truck on a hill with the front of the truck at to highest part of the hill and the radiator cap off, and the truck running and full of coolant, the air bubbles will rise to the highest point of which they can get, and with the cap off this will allow them to escape.

The factory shift know is simply pressed into place. To remove the knob, pull on it. If it's still on quite tight, you maybe need to firmly twist while pulling the shift knob. If all else fails, use a piece of leather to protect your know, and some channel lock pliers to work the knob back and forth until it is loose enough and can be removed.
