You make friends with people by showing an interest in them and what they are doing. You ask them about themselves, and you listen. You don't talk too much about yourself all the time. That's the way you can make friends with this guy. But remember that he is straight. If he is, then he might become your friend, but that's all. Don't press on with this making friends just because you think he's cute and one day you're hoping he'll be your boyfriend. That probably won't happen. There are lots of gay guys out there. You'll meet more of them as you go along.
