tell him/her the reason why you gave them up (e.g i was very young when you were born, too young to look after you and give you a proper life, the life you deserve, so i had to give you to someone else, someone i knew could give you a good life)

tell him/her how much you care about them

try and be there for him/her

don't push him/her and try and force them into forgiving you and talking to you or you will just push them away and don't stand in the way of them making their own discisions even if you think they are the wrong ones (except if they are illegal obviously)

spend time with them, just you and them, try and see them as much as possible, but ask them if its ok first, the child NOT the adoptive parents

hope I've helped x good luck x

What types of adoption are there?

There are many types of adoption including international and local. There is also Open and private adoptions. An Open adoption is when the biological parent(s) are allowed visitation with the child. A private adoption is like when a child is turned over into the chosen adopted family right after birth and the biological parent(s) have no contact with the child.

Is there legal action a birth parent can take to stop contact from an adult child given up for adoption at birth?

Yes

What is the difference between closed adoption and open adoption?

In an open adoption the birth parent(s) are allowed to visit and contact the child. The child may not know them as mom or dad but rather as aunt uncle or cousin. In a closed adoption the birth parents have no contact with the child what so ever. Also, in a closed adoption, the adoptive parents have the right not to tell the child they are adopted if that makes life easier. I was adopted in a closed adoption.

Does a child given up for adoption at birth have any inheritance coming?

It really depends on the parent giving up the child but most likely not.

How can a birth parent explain to their young child that they are going to be adopted by a relative?

* Unfortunately, you did not give any reason as to why the birth parent is giving up their young child to a relative. If at all possible; even if it means government assistance the birth parent should try to keep their child. If it's absolutely impossible then all the birth parent can do is try to explain to the child the best they can, but it will never be enough and the child will feel unloved by the birth parent. Eventually the child will grow accustomed to being raised by a relative, but will eventually grow up and want to know why their birth parent did this. The least the birth parent can do is write a heart-felt letter explaining the circumstances as to why they had to give the child up and give the letter to the relative and when the child is old enough to understand and asks 'Why did my birth parent give me up' then they can read the letter. The birth parent should keep in touch with the relative to see how their child is and at some future date and providing the child wants too then the birth parent and child should meet when that child is no longer a minor.

What does adoption require?

A parent or parents who will love, protect and nurture the child(ren), who has been prepared, trained approved and licensed by the appropriate people.A child who is (children who are) available for adoption, who's birth parents no longer have their parental rights.

Is there a AZ legal form for father to terminate rights of an unborn child?

No there is not. In Arizona a parent may only terminate their rights voluntarily in preparation for an adoption. In other cases, the courts may terminate rights involuntarily in certain and dire circumstances. Both scenarios are after the birth of the child, not before. Until an adoption is legalized or if adoption isn't going to happen, the parent's obligation to support their child does not end with the termination of their rights. All that does is terminate the parent's right to see their child and have any say-so in their lives.

Parents looking for children to adopt?

Any parent looking to adopt should check with their city/state about kids up for adoption. Contact a local adoption agency to find out who is up for adoption. Make sure you know if you want to have an open or closed adoption (open is the birth parents can contact the child closed is they can not) and be prepared for adoption to be set up and then fall though (the birth mother/father stop the adoption process).

Does adoption of child by non-biological parent affect the non-custodial parent as far as visitation and child support?

Yes, both are suspended.

In Washington, a parent cannot ordinarily give up parental rights. The exception is if the other parent's spouse wants to adopt the child, and the other birth parent doesn't want to contest the adoption.

Why would a child have a baby? Anyway, you have to be a parent to do this.
