The heat Earth has comes 99.9% from the Sun. Thus if the solar output were to vary or the orbit of Earth vary such that the incident solar radiation were to increase or fall, it would have a marked affect on Earth's average temperatures and consequently Earth's climate.

Certainly this is the cause of the Ice Age cycles of the recent geological past but there is no evidence that an increase in solar radiation is causing the current warming of the Earth. That is more likely explained by increasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere caused by man's activity since the industrial revolution.

What causes long term change in climate?

In the longest term changes in climate are caused by changes in the sun's output. Over shorter terms there are many different causes.

Why does earth experience ice ages and other climate changes?

Changes in solar output, changes in Earth's orbit, and changes in Earth's atmosphere.

What are three scientific possible ways climate changes?

Greenhouse gasses, Solar output changes, Orbital change, Volcanic activity, Plate tectonics.

What type of climate change forcing is increased solar output?

Increased solar output is classed as a positive natural forcing. There are basically three kinds of climate forcing:Greenhouse gases.Other anthropogenic (man-made) forcing (soot, reflective particles, soil and dust, landcover changes like de- or re-forestation and human changes of clouds)Natural forcings like changes in the sun's energy and volcanic emissions.

Are glacial periods caused by changing in the tilt of the Earth's axis?

They can be. Atmospheric changes, location of continents, and solar output could also cause them.

What is zero drift?

Regarding Instrumentation, is the definition of changes in instrument output when the input signal remains at zero. Caused by factors such as temperature or line voltage.

What type of cost is fixed per unit of output and changes with volume of output?

varible?

Why would the passenger side heat blow cold air in your 94 Buick Regal?

The most common thing is the heater / climate control valve located in the dash area for controlling the heat output. Should be able to tell if using the dual mode changes the heat output.

What is the best measure of an increase in actual output?

Real Gross Domestic Product (Real GDP) measures the changes in output within a country compared to the output of a selected year. It adjusts Nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to include changes in inflation during the fiscal year. By including changes in inflation, we can observe over time how much actual output a country produces.

Cost change when rate of operation or output changes?

variable cost

Relates output changes to differences in a single input?

production function

Is the earth the only planet in your system experiencing global warming or climate change?

All planets experience climate change (warmer and cooler) due to fluctuations in sun output, changes in the planets distance to the sun and rate/tilt of rotation. global warming typically refers to human induced global warming and therefore only earth is influenced.
