Skeletal system also includes bones. The bones become stronger too.

After exercise The muscular system is torn slightly with strenuous exercise, especially with weight lifting. Once a muscle is torn through exercise, it recovers, and makes this muscle bigger, stronger and tougher. Therefore, all muscles are similar to callouses.

This happens because when exercising the muscle will take knocks due to the amount of pressure and tension put on the muscles when exercising. This makes the muscle pick up slight knocks. Once healed, they come back bigger and stronger so that the muscle can cope with that amount of pressure and tension put on it before for another time.

The skeletal system supports the connective tissues during excercise, these are muscle tissue and tendons. The bones benefit as they retain more calcium during perionds of weightbearing exercises but leach out calcium when people do not exercise enough such as the elderly, overweight or those leading a sedatary lifestyle.

The short term effect of exercise on the skeletal system are the synovial fluid gets warmer and becomes thinner which enables more movement to take place and you will become less likely to injure yourself which would also improve performance. Exercise also improves your bones and helps your body to produce more mineral salts and more collagenous fibres.

THE EFFECTS OF EXERCISE UPON THE SKELETAL SYSTEM.

  • As exercise imposes stress upon the tissue of the skeletal system then in turn these tissues will become stronger.
  • Increases bone density. Makes bones stronger, less likely to fracture.
  • The hyaline cartilage at the end of bones will become thicker and become better at shock absorption.
  • Zeberas do not eat quavers.
  • Tendons will become thicker and able to withstand greater force
  • Ligaments will stretch slightly to enable greater flexibility at the joint.

Oxygen debt is not a condition but rather a medical term that refers to the amount of oxygen that is lost during intense physical activity and needs to be replenished. This loss or debt of oxygen is replenished by heavy breathing that occurs during intense physical activity or when the physical activity ceases.
