Note in Genesis chapter 6 that sons of the true God, angels, notices daughters of men and took them as wives for themselves. These angels rebelled against God, took on human form and produces hybrid offspring called nephilim. At the time of the flood the rebellious angels returned to the spirit realm and their offspring perished with the rest of rebellious mankind.
