That's exactly the problem. If its not changing anything then move on and find another friend. She can't be your friend as long as you keep falling for her. Find another girl to give your attention to and you will forget this one.

yes you can still be friends. for some people it is easier to get over then others but always worth it in the end. (unless they stink in the first place, then that's a different story) And i would try and state that it is ok with you to just be friends as soon as possible. that way they don't get a chance to think about it too much.
