As in Boy Scouts or Girl scouts? Yes but their activities differ from scouts in the US.
In the Boy Scouts of America, a gathering of Scouts for an event is called a camporee or camporall or may have a local name. The national Scout jamboree is a gathering of Scouts from all over the US.
No president invented, made up, or otherwise started Boy Scouts. It was invented by Sir Baden-Powell in England and brought to the US by Boyce. President Wilson signed the US charter that was granted by Congress.
Kennedy, Ford, Carter, Clinton, G.W. Bush and Obama were all scouts. Gerald Ford is the only vice president who had been a scout.
As President of the USA, He was offered and accepted the position of honorary president of the Boy Scouts of America in February 2009. Each US President has done so since Taft in 1911.
The Cub Scouts were launched in the US in 1930. They were started by the BSA, not any one individual.
None - No president had the idea for Boy Scouts. Various youth organisations existed on small local scales when Lord Baden-Powell invented and started the scouting program we knew today. A few years later is was brought to the US by William Boyce. Most US presidents sicne scoutings inception in the US in 1910 have had some relationship to the scouts but none of them can take credit for the idea of it.
"Every Scout to Save a Soldier" was a slogan used to motivate Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to help sell US Savings stamps. (think mini war bonds)
The main difference is that they belong to different national and international organizations. In the US, Girl Scout troops are members of the national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA. Boy Scout or Scout Troops are members of the national organization, Boy Scouts of America. Each national organization determines the kind of program the troops will use based on guidelines from the international organization. Both organizations earn badges and other awards, however, the awards and the requirements are different. The uniforms are different as determined by the national organization. The way the troops themselves are organized is different.

Ernest Thompson Seton started the Woodcraft Indians in 1902 and published The Birch Bark Roll of the Woodcraft Indians in 1906. Daniel Carter Beard started the Sons of Daniel Boone (later the Boy Pioneers) in 1905. When Baden-Powell created the first Scouting program in 1907, he used elements of Setons' work in his Scouting for Boys. Several small local Scouting programs started in the U.S. soon after, most notably the Boy Scouts of the United States, the National Scouts of America and the Peace Scouts of California. The YMCA in Michigan was organizing Scout troops based on Scouting for Boys as early as 1909 and other YMCA troops appeared soon after. The Boy Scouts of America received official approval from Baden-Powell and was incorporated in February 1910. After the YMCA began promoting the BSA in early 1910, the Woodcraft Indians, Boy Pioneers, Boy Scouts of the United States, the National Highway Patrol Association Scouts, the National Scouts of America, the Peace Scouts of California and the YMCA troops were merged into the BSA.Macleod, David L. Well, I was a eagle scout & from my experience of boy scouts I would have to say that boy scouts are harder than girl scouts. In boy scouts you have to go to camp outs that are sometimes more than a week long , with girl scouts you have to maybe sometimes go on a camp out that may last at the most 2 days. This doesn't even include the physical requirements a boyscout has to have to make it to a higher rank such as eagle, so i would have to say boy scouts would be harder. Another perspective: their missions are very different, so it's hard to compare how difficult they are. Girl Scouts progress in leadership skills and plan their own programming as they get older. Boy Scouts also plan program, but it appears that most of the content is set up by the national association. While the path to Eagle Scout or the Gold Award is a rigorous one, not all scouts pursue these goals.
