Science is the study of knowledge and logic. It is logical to behave in a manner that will allow you to live a reasonably happy life and allow you to have descendants that will pass on your genetic traits to the future.

Most animals will exhibit altruistic behavior, they will give up some good for themselves to preserve the herd. We are a type of animal and humanity is our "herd". We use our minds to devise ways to make the herd healthier and increase its survivability. This study is Science. The giving up what you want for your "greedy" self is known as showing good behavior.

Science shows us that using sewage systems is healthier than dumping waste on the roads so we do that. Science tells us that health and medicine is good for the general population so we support institutions to study thee subjects. Economy, another science, shows us there is an optimal distribution of work, freedom and investment so we move away from slavery and dictatorships. Psychology learns why people are sad, mean, cruel and help to make them happier and nicer.

Acting in a way to make the best use of these findings of Science is to exhibit proper behavior.

Science does not really do that. Ethics, moral values, and social norms teach us to behave.
