There isn't much left and it takes a long time to restore.
We should conserve petroleum because of the following reasons :- 1) Its non renewable 2) For the future generation to use 3) So that it does not get exausted 4) Its in a limited stock and can be exausted by human activities * Therefore there is a need to conserve petroleum Some examples are : 1] Petrol 2] Diesel 3] Coal
conserve petroleum resouces through application of on condition oil change policy
We can help conserving fossil fuels by reducing our usage of electricity. Since electricity comes from the burning of fossil fuels, the demand to burn fossil fuels for energy will be reduced. Cutting down the usage of vdehicles and converting to other forms of public transport can also help conserve petroleum.
There are a huge number of ways to conserve petroleum. This are just a few of the major ones.Don't leave lights on when you're not using them, or waste electricity in other ways. A fair portion of electricity is made by burning petroleum, so the less electricity we use, the more petroleum we save.Find ways to save gasoline. These can include walking or cycling, carpooling, or using public transportation. Electric and hybrid cars also save some petroleum (but remember, the electricity they use possibly had to come from a small amount of petroleum).Use products that are made, and foods that are grown and processed locally. Shipping foods and other goods uses up a tremendous amount of fuel. Also, certified organic food products don't use chemicals, whose production uses petroleum.Reduce the amount of packaging that you use by buying products with minimal packaging. This is because packaging is usually made of plastics (which are made of petroleum), and it requires energy (usually from petroleum or coal) to make packaging.
There is a more important reason to conserve fossil fuels, and that's to help heal the environment. Burning petroleum, coal and natural gas fills the air with harmful pollutants, including nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, ozone and a host of hydrocarbons.
Oh yes! Not many students are going into petroleum engineering, whereas former P.E are retiring therefore more demand. Also a lot of oil and gas is being found around the world therefore compaines will be hiring a lot petroleum engineers!
Good question In other to conserve resources like this the main alternative is that we should use science to find alternative fuel which would perform at the same rate, and would not pollute the atmostphere like nuclear power but we must advance our technology to utilise the new methods
