How do use the moon movement and phases to tell time?

The whole Moon is there all the time. The phases of "quarter," "crescent" and so forth describe the part of the Moon on which sunlight is falling. When the Moon is on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun (in other words, in a line of Sun - Earth - Moon), the sunlit side is the same as the side an observer on Earth sees, so the Moon is "full." When the Moon and Sun are on the same side (Sun - Moon - Earth), the lighted side is the side facing away from Earth, and the Moon is dark, or "New." In first and third "quarters," the Sun and Moon form a right angle (a "corner") with the Earth, as when somebody stands with a single light source near his ear and his face is half in the light.

Why does the sun look like it moves across the sky throughout the da?

The sun appears to move because the Earth is turning around on its axis (the North and South Poles) at a rate of 15 degrees per hour, giving the impression of the SUN 'moving' (as well as the stars, planets, etc...) to everything that is NOT on the Earth. The Earth (from a Bird's Eye view of our Solar System), moves in a Counter-Clockwise fashion around the Sun, while also ROTATING on its axis in a Counter-Clockwise way (if looking down from above - the same Bird's Eye View mentioned above). With Respect to the SUN APPEARING TO MOVE, it is ONLY an EFFECT, since we are observers from EARTH, and do not feel the movement of the Earth under our feet; therefore it APPEARS that the SUN and STARS (etc...) are moving and we are staying still (But again this ONLY APPEARS to be the case since we are Observing them from Earth. This appears to be so not because the Sun is moving but because our Earth is rotating on its axis. The Sun appears to rise in the east and set in the west because the spinning earth is turning your eyes toward the opposite direction as time goes on. When viewed from a merry-go-round, the buildings appear to move; but it is actually you and the merry-go-round that is moving. The buildings are standing still.

How can the moon and sun tell us that the earth is moving?

The moon and sun can tell us that the earth is moving as our earth spins adding to the sight of turn of the Moon which we can see in the sky moving throughout the day. The sun can tell us the earth is moving as we can see shadows on people and objects moving around telling us something has to be moving. It has been scientificly proven that is not the Sun or "Sol" so we know it is the Earth.

The moon revolves around earth at a fairly constant speed Is the moon moving?

When you ask 'Is something moving ?', you always have to tell compared to what. As we all know, there's no such thing as 'real' motion, there's only motion relative to something else. -- Compared to the sun, the moon is revolving around it, in an elliptical orbit that has these small dimples in it because of the gravitational influence of the nearby Earth. -- Compared to the Earth, the moon is revolving around it once every 27.32 days. -- Compared to the moon, the moon isn't moving at all.

Can you tell time with out a clock?

yes u can by using the sun , moon or stars

Why earth does not seen revolving?

You are moving with it. =================== Think of it this way. You are in a mary-go-round...... Do you see the ride moving or the people standing outside the ride moving. You can see the earth revolving by tracking the position of the stars. At a particular time of the night take a polythene and tell your buddies to hold it up. Mark some of the stars in its place on the polythene by looking through it. After a few days do the same and you would notice the difference in their relative positions.
