It should also be noted that the Big Bang is a truth. Things such as red shift and the cosmological background radiation are proof that it happened. That is fact.
How it happened exactly is still under research, but it is believed the answer lies in dark matter. See "A Universe From Nothing" on YouTube for an hour long lecture on the current hypothesis concerning dark matter, virtual particles and other phenomena about this subject.
If truth is something provable, then there really is no theological truth in relation to creation. Not only do, for example, Hindu creation beliefs differ from those of Christianity, even the Christian Bible contains at least two different and irreconcilable creation stories. The marvel is that millions of Christians believe that The Bible literally describes the creation of the world, disregarding the clear inconsistencies of the two accounts. Perhaps theological truth means what is believed, and then each religion has its own truths.
Scientific truths in relation to creation include the fact that the universe is about 13.7 billion years old, the earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old and present-day living species evolved from earlier species in response to environmental stress. These are proven truths.
The well-known "Big Bang" event is, strictly speaking, not a truth, because it has not be proven absolutely. However, it is the best available theory for the creation of the universe. and is consistent with all the known facts, including the age of the universe and the positions and movements of the stars and galaxies. Perhaps one day there will be absolute proof of the event or perhaps a new theory will fine tune the concept and better describe the origin of the universe.
