Perhaps the driver of this 1990 Tracker is referring to the speed in which the torque converter cluch (TCC) blocks up. My 1991 Tracker's TCC is designed to lock-up at 40MPH. This is accomplished by the governor pressure (which is determined by road speed). The TCC relay is under the hood and it sends the signal to the governor pressure switch. When the governor switch closes it energizes the lock-up solenoid valve, which pressurizes the TCC mechanism causing lock-up, which could be mistaken for another shift by some.
They don't have automatic light features.
On my 1996 Geo Tracker automatic transmission 4wd it's located (in the engine compartment) on the passenger directly behind the intake (to the driver side of the battery) I hope that helps
if it is an Automatic expect 30 mph on highway...1.6 l engine
No,it does not do any damage to the engine or the drive-train of the vehicle with an automatic transmission
ATF fluid is automatic transmission fluid. It is used in vehicles that have automatic or self shifting transmissions. To distinguish it from other engine fluids, it is usually red or green.
There really aren't automatic or manual engines, but there are manual and automatic transmissions - gear boxes. Automatics don't need shifting as you pick up speed going forward, but manuals do.
Can a 2001 Suzuki Vitara 2.0 Engine be swapped with a 2001 Chevy Tracker engine?
check for a failed vacuum modulator or a vacuum leak to the vacuum modulator. It sounds like you are shifting on the governor or engine management unit.
It could very well be the catalatic convertor on the engine. Have it checked out.
there is a slight way if you have a good enough engine and some skill its called power shifting you should google it
Top of tranny under shift lever.
Yes it is the same exact combination I have in my tracker
