From the way I read it, you dont. You absolutly need this tool, air gets trapped in the HCU and never really gets out without that tool.
There are kits available that let you bleed the brakes automatically and without the need for another person to assist you. If you do not have the kit, have a friend pump the brakes and hold the pedal down while you loosen the bleeder screw on the caliper. Repeat that process until no more air pops out between adjustments.
There are kits that can be purchased to allow you to bleed the brake lines without assistance. If you don't have the kit and do have a friend available, have the friend pump the brakes and hold the pedal down as you loosen the bleeder screw on the caliper, then tightening it again. Keep doing that until no air appears in your lines.

There are some kits sold that offer the ability to refill your own ink cartridge. These are not recommended as they can bleed and ruin your printer.
There are no direct-fit disc brakes that you can pull off of an old car and put on your Ford Galaxie. Some companies make disc brake conversion kits for the front brakes but they are costly, starting at around $1,000.
You should check out the Cadillac Deville suspension conversion kits at strutmasters.com If you can do brakes you can install their conversion kits yourself. http://www.strutmasters.com/cadillac-deville-suspension-s/42.htm
A disc brake kit is used to convert an older automobile's drum brakes to disc brakes. Your 2001 Gallant already has disc brakes. It would not require the disc conversion kit. When you begin to hear your brakes squeaking it is time to take your car to the repair shop for new brake pads.
