Normally with a test plug
Sewer cameras can be rented from an aerating or roto rooting company (most of the time, sometimes this is not offered). They are placed deep down into pipes in order to see what they are like from the inside. They work similar to pipe snakes that unclog clogs.
Clog between there and the city sewer or the main line has collapsed or has tree roots growing into it. Probably time to call the plumber. Thanks, it turned out to be a block drain. We are having some work done and the builder had filled a redundant washer washer pipe with expanding foam, trouble is, he filled the drain to the main sewer at the same time, thanks again
Probably leaky drain pipe form toilet which passes through that room. Work out which corner of that room is below the toilet, you will probably see a swelling in the wall where the drain pipe is hidden. Call a plumber and get him to fix it.
An electrician and a mason would be required to work as a team as a cinder-block wall is being constructed, the electrician would have to install the electrical boxes and short pieces of pipe as the mason is laying the block.
With cast iron pipes that are THAT old you run a real risk of leaks. Get a good estimate of where the sewer line goes to the street, it's usually straight out from the largest sewer pipe stack, closest to the front of the house. It may take a little guessing. If you have an outside clean-out you'll have a good idea where the sewer line goes out. Check to see if any large trees are anywhere near where the sewer pipe goes out. Often a small leak in the sewer pipe will be a real enticment to a tree root, and the root will find a way to even enlarge the leak. Once the root gets inside the sewer pipe it can create a large root ball that will plug the pipe and make it drain slowly. Another possibility is just plain grease buildup over the years that coats the inside of the pipe that effectively reduces the pipe diameter and makes it slow to drain. In either case, a good cleaning is called for. The process requires some special equipment, and it's much easier to take care of the problem BEFORE the pipes plug up completely. In this case I'd call in a professional, but get someone who is licensed and check them out with the Better Business Bureau before you have them come in. Some of these guys will tell you that you need to dig up your front yard and replace the sewer pipes when all you need is a cleaning. Don't misunderstand, you may actually NEED to replace the pipes. Just make sure the guy is reputable.
The answer is yes but the question is "why". It would require twice the expense as the two drains would require double the work and pipe to eventually tap into the main sewer line. But the answer to the question is yes.
You'll have to explain what PC pipe is. I work with all kinds of pipe and never heard of that one.
I personally like blue block compound BUT either tape or compound will work on steam or hydronics
IT IS THE MOST USED ON UNDERGROUNG PIPE WORK
pipe bending is a method to enhance the fabrication capabilities of pipe work and plumbing fixtures
It seems that we are having problems with our sewers. Who does this kind of work and how would I go about finding someone who can fix a sewer leak?
By gravity / forced main which rely on pumps AKA sewerage ejectors
