just like any dog take him for a long run or put him on a treadmill. dogs are just like wolves in that they naturally would run all day if given the opportunity. when dogs are in a house all day it takes away their energy release thus making them craaaaaazy!
To calm our dog Skipper down, we purchased one of those KONG toys at PetSmart. You can fill it up with Peanut butter or dog treats. Or since Jacks have very high energy, I suggest taking at least one thirty minute walk with your dog. Hope this helped!
TRy rubbing it behind the ears if it doesnt help scratch its belly there are alot of ways to make a dog calm
You stay still talking very calmly. The most important thing is not to get it riled up (more) sooner or later it will be calm.
WITH A LOT OF PERSISTANCE

The Jack Russell has to have another breed which had been brindle some way down the line.
try to calm h im down
The Jack Russell Terrier was bread by a man named John Revere Russell who lived in England. He specificly bread these dogs to hunt foxes and other small animals. Jack Russells are bread in England and Ireland and are excellent dogs. They have a reputation to be mean or hyper but all they like to do is jump, play and run and be loved. I have experience with Jack's because I own 6 of them. Jack Russells are the strongest dog in the small section, due to them working. They can be made into good guard dogs if you have a few of them.
well the first thing you should do is get a dog treat calm him down scratch him and then give him the treat and everything will be fine
You should be able to feel their ribs easily, if not, they are fat. If you can just about feel them, then they're not exactly fat but I would just calm them down on their food intake
they are fun to play and love to lay down on couch and play
Yes, most dogs can. Some are just more wild than others. We give our Boston terrier some liquid benadryl to calm it down before the flight. It works pretty well!
In Hawaiian, you would say "hoΚ»omaluhia".
Although I think Jack Russell's are a nice dog I wouldn't want to own one because they bounce off the walls (although the odd ones I've seen can be more sedate) but Jack Russell breeds are noted for being hyper active and they never seem to tire out. Yorkies are more sedate and little lap dogs. They prefer peace and quiet and play time. The Jack Russell is commanding things around the house and it's time for some serious training with this dog. When you say to 'stop' or 'lay down' then they should adhere to your commands no matter what the breed. Dogs need to know YOU are the leader of the pack and not them! If you had the Yorkie first then they SHOULD COME FIRST! This is the nature order of things 'pecking order.' All treats and meals should be given to the first dog in your home and then your Jack Russell should come next. I have a 4 year old Bichon Fise and a 2 year old Cockapoo and I always use this method. I don't allow my Cockapoo to try to push or order my Bichon around. I also give equal love and never just to one. I'd say you have your hands full. LOL NEVER allow your Jack Russell to torment your Yorkie! Put your foot down immediately! If it's a trial in your family please seek one on one training with your Jack Russell. There are many trainers out there that just train Jack Russell's. Another good thing for a Jack Russell (and good for the whole family) is belonging to a Jack Russell Club where you are meeting other owners and the dogs have a blast racing around through trial runs and having a complete field day and hopefully tiring out! When you do this take your Yorkie with you and hold her/him in your arms. If she/he doesn't like going then leave her/him at home with a family member.
