Varna is a life style to be selected depending on living conditions.
Varnas have absolutely nothing to do with occupations. The relationship between Varnas and occupations is just symbolic and not factual.
There are four Varnas.
1. SHUDRA VARNA - for chaotic living conditions. Gives absolute freedom necessary to survive in chaotic living conditions. Life is divided into infinite, independent compartments.
2. VAISHYA VARNA - for tolerable living conditions, imposes minimum standards in life.
3. KSHATRIYA VARNA - for normal living conditions. There are minimum and maximum standards.
4. BRAHMANA VARNA - for ideal living conditions. The minimum standards are raised to make it become one with the maximum standards. Thinking is instinctive and thus, fast and perfect.
SOME FACTS ABOUT VARNAS
1. The four Varnas, or lifestyles, are not unique to Hinduism but common to all human beings and even animals.

CONDITIONS FOR CHANGING VARNAS:
1. We must not try to have Brahmana Varna just because it is the best. It is least suited for chaotic living conditions. If we eternally live in chaotic conditions our first choice should be Shudra Varna.
2. We must try to change our Varna if and only if our economic conditions improve. However, we must realize that it is the social conditions that we are trying to improve.
3. Special attention must be paid to sexual stimulation. If we have Shudra Varna we would be most sensitive to sexual stimulation and if we have Brahmana Varna we would be least sensitive to it.
4. A master of Vedic meditation would be able to change his Varna in a moment. However, we must take at least one year to have the next higher Varna and preferably longer.
5. It is better if we are guided by a person with a higher Varna.
1. Raising our Varna:
1. If we have Shudra Varna and wish to have Vaishya Varna we must maintain minimum standards in life. If we can maintain minimum standards forever, even under chaotic conditions, then we would have acquired Vaishya Varna.
2. By adding also a maximum standards to our life, we can convert Vaishya Varna into Kshatriya Varna.
3. By raising the minimum standards, to make it become one with the maximum standards, we can convert it into Brahmana Varna.
2. Lowering our Varna:
If we have Brahmana Varna, to attain Moksha we must know how to have lower Varnas.
1. We have to add minimum standards to our maximum standards and make our life fluctuate between these limits we can convert Brahmana Varna into Kshatriya Varna.
2. By discarding our maximum standards of Kshatriya Varna, we can have Vaishya Varna.
3. By discarding the minimum standards of Vaishya Varna, we can have Shudra Varna.
