Well first ask your dad why he doesn't want a guinea pig. There must be a reason. And remember, do not beg. Anyways, once you find out the reason, prove to your dad that the reason is wrong e.g if you wanted a kitten and you dad said they were messy, then tell him about litter training and show him videos of how little, young kittens quickly learn how to litter train. Also, do a lot of research. Because you might get a surprise test or if not, ask him to test you. If all fails, and you've tried other techniques and he's not convinced, wait for a bit before asking again. Maybe you can foster a guinea pig too!

You might want to consider getting another guinea pig to keep the one you have left company. Guinea pigs are very social creatures, so unless you have a lot of time to spend with your guinea pig, you should probably visit your local shelter to see if you can find your pig a friend. Suitable friends would be either a male that is used to being with other males, or a spayed female (otherwise you will end up with some little baby guinea pigs).
