Microsoft's PowerPoint (See links below) is part of their Office software suite. It is installed with the standard installer - double click the installer and follow the prompts.
Adobe Acrobat Reader is excellent presentation software. Write your presentation using bullet points or English sentences or diagrams or whatever, then use Adobe's Next Page feature while giving your talk. You can also try Open Office's presentation software, Impress. It is very similar to Powerpoint, allowing you to save in PowerPoint format even. It is also free. Corel also has presentation software bundled with its WordPerfect Office software. The presentation software is entitled Presentations.

You can get templates from your word processors site. A couple that have free templates are Acrobat and Microsoft office.
Get yourself a copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro and you can then save pdf files from Microsft Office. There would no doubt be other options in Acrobat which would allow you to import relevant files for exporting to pdf. There are also other programs available on the internet which will offer you similar services, but Acrobat is the way to go in my opinion. Try www.download.com for other software options.
