One can find out if a cartridge and a Lexmark printer are compatible with each other reading the instructions on a cartridge. It should say on there which printers they are compatible with. One can also check the Lexmark website and each printer will have it's own information listing what cartridges can be used.

Is a Lexmark Interpret S405 compatible with ink cartridge 105XL and I read that it is only compatible with 100XL and 100 on Lexmark's website other souces say yes maybe marketing trick?
. The Lexmark Interpret S405 is not compatible with ink cartridge 105XL. It is only compatible with 100XL cartridge. The 105XL is compatible with Lexmark Prestige Pro805 and Platinum Pro905 only. Hope this helps.
Have a Dell 966 printer Is there a Lexmark cartridge that will work?
The answer seems to be "no" - I bought the Lexmark version of this cartridge, and it doesn't work - the chip on it causes the printer to read "invalid cartridge". Some older versions used an additional slot to differentiate between Dell and Lexmark, but they've now gone down the hardware route and there doesn't seem to be a way around it. That means you have to order from Dell, and I need to print today. $50 from Office Depot down the drain and no other option. I'm selling this POS printer and buying one from a company that doesn't so blatantly screw its customers.

Either the other nozzles on the printer cartridge are blocked, the other colours are exhausted or the printer is faulty ! Borrow or buy another cartridge - if the other colours return - then replace your original cartridge. If the problem is still present, the fault is in the printer itself.
