If it is not damaged break the ice and put empty drums along the middle of the pool in a line in order to give it an unfrozen area for the ice to expand into, that way the ice will not put the same pressure on the sides of the pool. also make sure the filter and Plumbing is empty.
Your motor bearings will make noise when it gets cold if theya re trying to go out. The grease in the bearings get thick and the ball bearing tend to not turn as well. Normally the motor may get quieter as it gets warmer.
First you find out what is wrong with it. if the replacement parts are available you replace them. if not you get a new one.
what do you mean the pump broke? as froze and busted? If so just winterize the pool and replace it next season unless you use the pool during the winter.

Firstly you find out how the DE got into the pool - must be a broken filter pad. Fix that, then vacuum the pool. No point vacuuming before you fix the filter problem, or the DE will finsih up back in the pool.
TurN it on than off
I have a 15' above ground pool, when we installed the pool it was a little uneven (not even 1") now that the pool has been up for a while it has settled and now the side that was lower is off by about 3-4". How can I fix this without draining the whole pool?

An air pillow is only present for the management of rain water on top of the cover. It is not designed tostructurally safeguard the pool. Do not touch the pool once it has frozen water upon it. You may cause more damage than leaving it alone.
