If it is not damaged break the ice and put empty drums along the middle of the pool in a line in order to give it an unfrozen area for the ice to expand into, that way the ice will not put the same pressure on the sides of the pool. also make sure the filter and Plumbing is empty.

∙ 13y agoYour motor bearings will make noise when it gets cold if theya re trying to go out. The grease in the bearings get thick and the ball bearing tend to not turn as well. Normally the motor may get quieter as it gets warmer.

∙ 14y agowhat do you mean the pump broke? as froze and busted? If so just winterize the pool and replace it next season unless you use the pool during the winter.
