Have you tried wire woolling the termials and the flex connectors - 80% of all reverse light failures are due to bad connection - rust, damp, dirt are all the bain of caravaning.

It is called 'trans range sensor",it is part of the valve body,trans pan has to be removed to access it
after the 96 model year dodge quit using them
Diagnose the fault and repair it. If you do not have the technical ability to do so then you should take it to a competent mechanic.

The map light on a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT is changed gently prying the edge of the cover to reveal the bulb. The bulb can then be popped out and a new bulb installed.
