Sorry but no not at all if you do lunges correctly and eat bread it will go to your butt and your butt will be big :)
if you want to get a butt you can rest a beer on, lunges with a few pounds of weight in your hands is the best way. make sure you get your leg low enough to be 90 degrees to the ground without touching.
Exercise can help build the muscle in your butt, but you need to remember things like squats and lunges will not help you make your butt bigger.

By chance have you tried Pilates or yoga? I heard Pilates or yoga flattens the butt...building muscle is probably the only thing that will help it to get bigger. I have heard about squats and lunges, but I am not exactly sure how many and how often these should be done. Look up exercises to build "glutes". For building up the rear end do squats and lunges
