Well, you have to give your pets time to get use to one anouther they probley have not seen any thing like it before. You need to start kepping them inthe same room so that they will get time to know one anouther then they will be use to one anouther and no more running around the house like mad. So follow the tip i am sure it will work.
** Never put a kitten in the same room unattended with a dog. The dogs instinct is to chase anything that runs. This will endanger the kitten. You need to hold the kitten while the dog is in the same room and make sure the dog will not harm the cat. You do not push the kitten on the dog but let them sit quietly with you in the room. A little closer and longer each day and they will get used to each other with your support.
When your introducing a kitten to the dog (or the other way around) Don't put them inside the same room. you should block the room with something that they could see through and put them in separate sides so they could look at each other and you should just give them time to get use to seeing each other and eventually they might become friends
The best way to get an old cat get used to a new dog is to introduce them away from the cat's home territory. It will also help to provide some distraction, such as tuna or other treats, for the cat.
In my opinion there is several ways to do this. I just recently got a kitten and introduced them yesterday, they love each other.
What you would do is. If your cat is afraid of dog,
Bring something that smells like the dog to the cat and put it in their cage or room that you temporarily have them secluded in. This will get the cat used to their scent so its not so strange having them around.
Then do the same for the dog. That "something" could be a towel, toy, or anything that you feel both will be around.
If the dog doesn't like your cat, or tries to attack it, put him in his cage and introduce the kitten/cat to him. I put my kitten up to his cage to smell, make sure the cat is comfortable and not fighting. If the dog starts to whine step back and say "no" sternly. Pet the kitten and say "good kitty" or something of that sort showing your dog that you enjoy the presence of your new pet or that the current pet of yours is good and he should be happy with it. After he can be comfortable with the kitten near the cage, you need two people to do this, but bring him out on a leash and have him slowly sniff the cat. Give him more and more slack if he is physically harmful pull him back tap his nose and inform him it was bad.. Keep in mind the safety of the kitten and its comfortableness don't let him to close if he nips. IF the cat becomes bad pull it back and place in separate room. I don't believe in physical harm done to either animal because of there misbehavior, Tho if your dog nips at the cat a firm tap on the nose will not hurt him but show him it was a bad move. Same goes for the Kitten with a tap on the nose. I've been told that removing the animal from a situation when it performs a harmful act is giving it what it originally wanted, Only time I suggest removing the animal is if they look uncomfortable or if they are whining and crying. If you can not introduce your animals fully in 1 day do not worry, don't rush things. Take it slow and easy they will come around. Even if they aren't best friends they should be able to "deal" with each other. This is just a suggestion for there is no definite answer in how to introduce because every animal has their own personality.

Try keeping them separated, but so they can still see each other, until they get used to each other. A stair gate is a good way of doing this. I would also teach the puppy to come when its called before you let it in with the cat.
u normally have to bring a cat and dog up together from very young for them to get along nicely other wise it is a natural instinct for cats to be scared of dogs
You have to train them and then you make the dog lay down and say stay but you have to make sure to watch them just in case
discipline
If the cat has lived in one place mainly her whole life and the dog is new it might take a while for the cat to get used to the dog But most likely the cat will ignore the dog if the dog wont bother her That's what it was like for my 6yr old cat and our stray dog
When I got my cat a few months ago my dog hated him, and my cat hissed a lot. Your cat might be territorial, or just isn't used to your new cat.
OH YES! a cat will feel lonly and sad,i should know......
it doesnt matter but try a dog they are awesome
Your new cat is hiding in the laundry room because it is afraid, apprehensive, and not used to its new home. You basically need to make it feel at home, like feeding it, cuddling it, and talking to it.

If the cat grew up seeing a small amount of people and is used to you, this is normal. Get the cat used to new people by easing them towards the people. Make sure the people don't make the cat uncomfortable for any reason.
you should stop the cat and get the dog and put it up in its cage, and if you don't have a cage you can lock it up somewhere. The cat is feeling threatened that the dog is invading it territory, so it is urine marking to "clarify" those boundaries. You must isolate the animals from each other so that the cat can get used to your new dog. This may take a few weeks to as long as four months, depending on the cat. Introducing a new animal to a household that already has pets can be very challenging.
Most likely will be upset. The dog is going to have to figure out where the cat is in the "pack" and may want to dominate it. If it's a puppy or young dog, it will want to play, and the cat may just want to be left alone. Provide a place for your cat to get away to when it doesn't want to be bothered.
