i find that if you put lettuce into their diet, maybe mixed with biscuits they hardly ever bite and they totally carm down. i found this out by my personal friend, who is a jack Russell breeder and a highly qualified vet.

First of all you have to understand that puppy biting is normal and not to be viewed as aggressive. The problem can usually be resolved by using the "muzzle hold" technique, where you simply hold the pup's mouth closed gently for a few seconds if she starts biting. Also, make sure you cut off any games and take away toys the second she gets bitey.

Do NOT tolerate this kind of behavior. Get a choke chain on him or her, measure around the neck and add 2 inches for the proper size of choke chain. Also get a 6 ft. lead. Sign up for an obedience class. Take your dog on brisk daily walks on leash only, for about 20-30 minutes working up to 50 minutes. Let your dog know you are the boss. If he offers to bite, tell him NO firmly and if he bites, grab him by the scruff and say no again (or just smack him or her a good one up under the jaw, do it quicky and firmly, no yelling involved). Just don't let him get away with it. Make your pet sit before he can eat. Make him work for everything. By constantly working with him and being consistent, you will establish your dominance. That is why the Obedience class is important. You can find out where one is by asking at your local Animal Shelter or Feed store, or your Veterinarian. Don't forget the daily walks and make him walk even with you, not ahead of you. Correct with sharp little jerks. This is why the obedience class will help so much as they will show you how to do these things.
