I dont know all of the things but ill tell you what i do know... feed them small fish and play with them like give them small beach balls to play with and make sure theres atleast two dolphins also if you want to go dolphin sighting go on saltfisher.com!

There are many ways to help dolphins : You can sign up(if youre old enough)to voulenteer at a rehablitation center for them or if you cant do that theres a very simple way to help not just dolphins but the whole earth ,just unplug things or turn of lights in youre home SAVE ENERGY!!!
If you go fishing, use legal methods, not big drag nets etc. Buy less fish, We are over fishing. Be careful that you don't leave rubbish at beaches or on roads because it all ends back up in the ocean. Don't buy tuna that may contain dolphin. Help make the Japanese aware of what the whalers are doing to both Whales and dolphins (and sharks). Be aware (if you have a boat) that you be cautious of dolphins to ensure their safety. If snorkelling/diving with them make sure you look and don't touch, and give them the space they want. If you witness illeagal fishing methods or an oil spill, report it. Adopt a dolphin. Visit sites like www.australiazoo.com.au , www.wwf.org , www.greenpeace.org and read their information and donate/learn about what you and others can do.
You can adopt a dolphin where you pay $$ every month to keep a wild dolphin safe, and you get monthly updates on your dolphin. You can also donate to conservation groups.
stop eating a lot of tuna if you do. They kill dolphins when they catch fish

you can help any dolphin from becoming extinct by joining a local organization to preserve the dolphins habitat. but, don't put a dolphin in captivity unless it is completely necessary, because once they are in captivity, their fin will droop because of the limitations they have making them depressed.

also, if you see a beached whale or dolphin try helping it by getting people to help you to push it back into the water, and one person keep splashing it with a bucket of water, but only help if it is still alive. also, the whale or dolphin may be at its last breathes, so if it begins to come back, let it be... its ready to pass away... but some dolphins accidentally swim onto the shore while they are searching for food in the shallows. so be care full and take precaution's.

If you are talking about stranded dolphins, time is of the essence. If you are not sure what to do, then the most important thing is to contact your local coastguard as soon as possible. They will have the necessary details needed to contact a specially trained marine life rescue organisation/team. They will also need to know the location, their condition and whether the dolphins are dead or still alive.

How to check if the dolphins are still alive without getting too close.

1) Look for movement.

2) Look to see if they are breathing through their blow hole.

Remember severe injuries can be caused to people, when animals are distressed.
