As their boss I guess you could intimidate them in front of everyone by making an enormous deal out of any mistakes they make on the job.
Perhaps you need to think more deeply about your own position. Is the act of humiliating someone really the mature thing to do? Is this what someone in your position should be aiming for? If you believe that you are right in trying to humiliate someone over whom you have some power, then, quite simply, you should not be there in that job.
