Two ways, and neither is quick nor easy.
First, read. Read. Read. Read. Then, read. Reading often will give you a terrific feel for the way language is used and how ideas coalesce into sentences, paragraphs, chapters, etc.
Second, write. Write and then read what you have written aloud to yourself. Make your lips move. This will let you know where the text needs work. When you "feel" that an area of your writing needs work, you MUST actually work to fix it. Don't be lazy and just leave areas that are crying out for revision or improvement or deletion.
There are two elements to better your writing skill. Not sure whether you mean improving the appearance of the text or improving the grammar (i.e. hand-writing or writing style?

Remember that practice doesn't make perfect, but it does make better. Writing is one of those skills that requires regular practice in order to get to a visually pleasing level. Being a life-long computer keyboard user, my hand-writing is terrible and is of greast embarrassment to me - especially when I have to use it around employers or professionals. I find that there are some things that help make my hand-writing better:
# Buy a good pen - with a comfortable grip and a nice amount of ink put down on the paper from the tip. # Rest the sheet of paper you are writing on, upon another few sheets of paper. This cushions the first sheet and prevents the text from appearing too thin. # Take your time - thinking back to all the lessons you were taught at school regarding writing.
# If you are writing on plain unlined paper, place a sheet with lines on it underneath the one you are writing on. These guidelines allow neat writing. # Look at the fonts for the text in your Web browser. See how there is another line that appears at the top of letters such aeo and is different to there the top of the other letters is located.
