Blown head gasket or a leak at speed. Check your oil and make sure it is not coffee colored. Check your exhaust for white smoke. These would help rule out a blown head gasket. also check to make sure the correct radiator cap is installed my early 1999 had a late 1998 cap and it would lose water at speed no visible leak would heat up sometimes and somtimes not. This fixed the problem not overheated in 1 year
It does not make any difference what color of anti-freeze you use in your 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier. The anti-freeze manufacturer can make their anti-freeze any color they choose.
If you can smell it, it is leaking. Have it pressure tested by a professional.
Since a vehicle's cooling system is closed and sealed, antifreeze (coolant) loss will occur due to leaks which can be in any part of the system, such as the radiator, water pump, heater core, transmission cooler, hoses, or a blown head gasket.
Look just below the water pump to see if any antifreeze is visible. Water pumps will sometimes leak and drip out antifreeze. Check the engine oil to see if antifreeze is mixed with the oil, indicating a blown head gasket.

Check for loose bolts, oil leaks, gas leaks, brake fluid (if you have it) leaks, no loose parts, asses the damage of the fourwheeler if there is any, and check to see if you are OK yourself. If something goes wrong later, i suggest taking everything apart and inspecting more closely. clean all of this, then you should be OK. If problems still occur, you should probably get professional help. :)

Volkswagen or any other vehicle shouldn't use any antifreeze. If any car is using antifreeze something is wrong.
