  • What seems to be a drag is that you gain weight most in the last place you lose it. I lost 30 pound last year by eating fruit one day and regular weight loss food between those days. I exercised by walking for 1 hour a day. It helped me relax and think, pray, etc. but I did find it best just to walk. If I did an aerobic pace (faster walk) I did not seem to lose weight. But just walking (mild cardio exercise) I could count on weight loss. I only did fruit Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I once in a while cheated really bad by having ice-cream on fruit days but I walked faithfully.
  • Step aerobics. Or cadio exercise such as walking to lose weight. Eliminate (or strictly limit (apart from the occasional treat) refined (processed) carbohydrates. You cannot lose fat locally, only from your entire body simultaneously. The only way to lose fat *anywhere* is to have an energy deficit in your body - burn more energy than you eat and drink. Women tend to have fat loss occur from the breasts and arms first, and from the lower body last. If you stick with a consistently healthy lifestyle, you'll eventually start burning your most tenacious fat reserves. I'll say it again - all you can do is demand energy from your stores, and see where it burns from. Everyone's a little different, but there is absolutely no way to burn a single area's fat off.

Hi there, I totally agree because there is no other way to burn fat apart from good CARDIO VASCULAR work out of around 45 mins 4-5 times a week and a low fat diet. Unfortunately, you can never pick and choose certain exercises or diets to lose the fat. I too have a big butt and I am African, so its just the way I'm built, even if I was stick thin and still have my heavy butt and thighs. Try to reduce fat intake to 30 grams a day and within that a max of 10 grams of saturated fat, oh and use your butt to your advantage.
