if the cable broke at the handle inside the car there will be a black cable with steel cable inside cut the black cable back so you see the steel cable get a par of visegrip pliers and pole the steel cable til the hood opens.
This can be rather tuff........you must grab the hood release cable from the underside of the vehicle. Sometimes, you can trip open the hood latch with a long screwdriver, if you know where to do it.
flnd the positive battery cable fallow it down to the starter
It should be listed in your owner's manual. If in doubt, try removing the negative cable from your battery.
It is located on the passenger side of the motor below the passenger side valve cover. You can follow the RED, positive, battery cable down to it as the cable should be connected to the stater motor.
Remove the grill
This is programed in the prom in the computer. Check the throtle cable adjustment to see if it is correct.
You neeed to repair what is causing the light to come on. Then remove the neg battery cable for 30 seconds.
if it is the cable under the top . i have just reached in to the release and pull the spring forward. it is just a lever. pull forward and you should be ok
?need to replace the cable to a 1979 buick regal, the emergency release mechanism wire broke. Don't know how to release the brake?
mines just snapped so its definitely cable....
Use pliers and pull the cable...
TAke it to the body shop as they have to do it when a car is wrecked.
