You could question the Court for the best opinion. You might also go down to your local law enforcement agency and explain the problem. They can quickly tell you if you would be in trouble for possession of a fire arm.

∙ 13y agoIf you have lost the right to bare arms, it probably means you have been convicted of a felony, and are therefore prohibited from owning a firearm. Contact your state's department of corrections to find out what must be done to have your rights restored.
Another View: This is not a do-it-yourself project and will require the assistance of an attorney. Also, in no state that I am aware of can the D.O.C. assist you in this process. Some states MAY grant some limited rights (e.g.: Texas being one example) to firearms possession under certain strict qualifications AND which apply ONLY WITHIN THAT STATE. If you were convicted of a Federal felony offense you will never get them restored. Although there is (supposedly)a process set forth, Congresses have continually denied funds to implement the process it so it is a dead issue for federal offenders. Consult with an attorney who practices law in your state.
