Run your system in 'Safe Mode' (hit F8 while booting up) and scan your system with an antivirus program such as Norton. If you do not have a program you can get a free on such as AVG or Avast online.

Remove the oil pressure sending unit retaining ring. Remove the wiring harness from the sending unit. Poll the sending unit out of the engine.

Remove the gasoline from the gasoline tank. Remove the fuel line from the gasoline tank. Remove the fuel sending unit retaining plate. Reverse the process to install the new fuel sending unit.
The oil sending unit on a 2002 wrx subaru is almost under the alternator. I suggest you remove the alternator and it is easier to remove the oil sending unit.
it is just above the oil filter remove oil filter and then remove the oil sending unit
you have to remove rear seat ,under the seat there's two covers , one is for the fuel pump , the other is for the fuel gauge sending unit .Remove cover on passenger side and remove fuel gauge sending unit .
