if the fuel line is steel then cut out the bad spot, and go to auto parts store and buy fuel injector hose. put hose where line is cut out and use fuel injector type clamps to hold hose.
cut the fuel line then drain it then splice the fule line back on
First, Inspect the line to see if is in good condition and what was the reason for the leak, if the reason was rust spot is easier to replace the bad section, if it has more then one spot replace the whole length of the line and do a good fluid bleeding.GOOD LUCK!!:-)REPLACE ENTIRE LINE- IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT RUST IS THE PROBLEM, THEN IT WOULD BE SAFEST TO REPLACE ALL LINES
In my experience, you can splice in fuel hose where there are fuel line leaks in some, if not most scenarios. BUT if it is in a dangerous area, like near exhaust engine etc, you should probably replace metal with metal. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
I would replace the line....ughh
Check under vehicle follow the fule line from the tank
There is no safe way to repair a broken or leaking brake line. The line or tubing that is leaking must be replaced or a new piece of tube, spliced into the line with fittings, to replace the leaking area.
Do you mean "how do I replace washer line"? They are just rubber hose from the washer fluid container to the wipers. If you have a leak, you can get a plastic splice and put it in at the split to repair.
The fule line is usually a pair of tubes that runs up the drivers side frame rails from the fule tanks to the engine compartment. the lines run up the fire wall to the fule injection rails. If this truck is Carb the fule line should be in approximately the same place.
did you forget to replace the cap on the filler tube ? or you may have a leaking line
Replace the line that is leaking, and do not try any stop leak.
Trace it or replace it
Replace the fitting.
