Hello, I can reassure you this will not cause tongue cancer but it may result in a mouth ulcer which appears on your tongue instead of your mouth. You should be working with your doctor while on antidepressants. Tell the doctor what is going on and he/she may up the dose or try you on something else. Usually antidepressants get you up and going and you shouldn't be experiencing this. It takes 6 - 8 weeks for a new antidepressant to do it's job. For now wash your mouth out with "Listerine" (antibacterial mouthwash) and then see your doctor.
