There are two ways to tell the difference between salt and sugar without tasting either one of them. One way is to place them separately in separate pans, and cook them. Sugar has a higher boiling point than does salt. When heated sugar will melt into a brown syrupy sustains Salt will not melt. Another way is to pour them on a slug. Salt melts the skin of the slug, but sugar does not.
salt is salty, sugar is sugary
1. sugar is sweet. salt is salty. xD LOL. 2. i dunt know. Sorry. :S
Salt and sugar have different chemical appearences and shapes. Their taste is also different!
Their weights per equal volume of each substance.
Sugar and salt have different crystalline structures. Salt has a six sided shape, where sugar is more of a hexagonal prism with sharp edges.
Sugar and salt are scientifically different because salt is sodium chloride NaCl were as sugar is C12H22O11 12carbon atoms per every 22 hydrogen and 12 carbons. Also sugar is sweet were as salt is salty.
Table salt has a cube structure and table sugar has a hexagonal crystaline structure.
There are a few different ways that you can test the difference between water, salt water, and sugar water. You can test boiling point for example.
well they are both deadly atoms i think um yeah
You can tell the difference by the color salt is a little lighter but you cant tell that much. Salt is a cystal with acid. Sugar isn't. If you have a microscope lying around then look at the characteristics and see which one you think it is.
The difference is salt has more flavor on things and no salt makes it tasteless.. and also one has NO salt.
It is useful because it brings taste to food. Also because of the shape you are able to tell the difference between salt and sugar. The shape of salt is crystal; granular.
