SN, markings, features
look on top by the date. you will see letters. those letters tell you who made the rifle. example 'byf' was made by the mauser factory.........................
Without more information, impossible to tell. Mauser made pistols, rifles, machine guns and shotguns. The serial number applied to military production weapons is not unique to only one weapon. If you will post a full description of the firearm, we may be able to get you a date range, but that is not always possible. Sorry-
A 6.5mm Mauser missing the magazine. Without more details there is no way to tell you what you have beyond what you have already provided.
The date on the coin will tell what year it was made.
i have a very old mauser which is not an 8mm, i have alot of those. i is markerd berlin and ser number 1909. i can not find a marking of what cal it may be but a 8mm will almost fit but not close. can you help me find the cal. maybe 7mm ( how hard to find that?) mikkel.mikkelson@comcast.com
i can tell you that it will be made and its coming out summer 2011
1931 to date
They did not make a 1944 36A. First post WWII production was in 1945. Can't give you a value without condition. Can you tell me what my 1995 Chev is worth, if I don't tell you if it runs, or how many miles it has?
Usually by the serial number. If no serial number, then by features
The last patent date will tell you that it was made that date or later.
The easiest method is to check it with a magnet. If it's a normal copper '44 cent, it won't stick.
I just inherited this gun, can you please tell me what it is worth? Mike
