Depending on when it was built. If it was recently the year will be the first six digits of the serial number. 2 for month 2 for day and 2 for year in that order.
The Sears: Craftsman has a life time warranty.
Without looking at the setup it's hard to tell. The mower chute and the bag inlet should be right on as a mismatch would cause clogs. It should be too tough to rig a hook and loop to hang the bag.
You can't tell by the model number. You can tell by the serial numberI have the same one, it's a 1988. (18HP 6 speed (3 hi/3 lo) 44" deck, right?).
just call sears, they should be able to tell you
The first 6 digits of a Craftsman lawn tractor serial number will tell you the month, day and year it was built. So, if your serial number is 1599SO6258, your tractor was built on January 5, 1999.
You can tell the year on a Craftsman by the first six digits of the serial number. They are in groups of two. First two digits are the month, second two digits are the day and the third two digits are the year. Apparently this dose not work for all Craftsman Mowers. My model #917.255520 Has a serial number of 1631S37112 meaning it was made on the 16th month and 31st day of the year 20S3... I think..??
The first six digits of the serial number tell you the date of manufacture. It was made May 1, 1998
i have a 917.299020 14" tiller and hasqvarna makes that one i bought a couple weeks ago. will be buying a drive chain for that instead of the crappy one that sears sends me that keeps breaking. just look at the model and the specs and the part diagrams and you will be able to tell. they make a large amount of sears craftsman tillers
Use a leveling tool on a flat surface.
I believe that your Sears shotgun is a Winchester model 37A shotgun that was made for Sears Roebuck And Co,.
most likely poulan True, most of the 'base' models are, however the Sears 'Professional' Leaf Blower Model I recently purchased was actually manufactured by Husqvarna and you can really tell the difference in quality between it and the other 'lesser / base' models. about 95% of craftsman leaf blowers are made by Husqvarna. A few of the pro ar e manufactured by Poulan.
