Batteries have a date code stamped into the top of the battery normally around one of the corners. It may have a letter and then number something like A8 which would mean January 2008 or C9 which would be March 2009. Interstate batteries use this particular code. Other battery manufacturers may use a different type code or they may just stamp the date in plain English.
I don't know the exact deminsions of the battery, but you can go to advanced auto, or any auto parts store and they can tell you what size battery you need.....a new battery costs around $50 to $75 with the trade in of your old battery (called a Core)

Assuming you have an old car battery and need a new one: remove old battery by disconnecting battery terminals and removing any and all brackets holding battery to battery pan or rack. Take the old battery in to a parts shop like NAPA Auto Parts, Checker Auto Parts, O'Riley Auto Parts etc. or Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Sears etc., any where which sells auto batteries. Tell the clerk you want a replacement battery. They will then get you the battery you need, you will pay for it, less the "core deposit", and they will take your old battery for recycling. If you do not have an old battery to trade in, you need to know what kind of vehicle you have (make model and year; example: 1999 Ford F-150), or if not using the battery for a vehicle you must know what type of battery you need. Tell the clerk this information and they will get you a battery which meets your needs however you will end up paying the full amount because you have no old battery to trade in for the "core deposit" refund.
Remove the battery and have it tested at any auto parts store.
Take it to Auto Zone and purchase a new battery. They will replace it free of charge.
call an auto parts store.
Test the battery at a local place such as advanced auto. They do it free.
If it's the ignition your vehicles motor will not turn over at all. If it does turn over it's either one of three things: battery, alternator, or starter. You can take your starter, battery and alternator to a local advance auto parts and they will test the charge for you. That will tell you what you need to know.
If you look at "Services Offered" on there website, there is no mention of battery installation. No training is given to new employees on battery installation. It's a courtesy.
You can get your new jet ski battery on eBay. You can also check amazon.com. Your jet ski battery can also be purchased at an auto parts store or even Wal-Mart.
they can be recharged by hooking jumper cables from a car to the mower or if the battery is fried you would have to buy a new battery for it Use a battery charger just like the one you use on an auto battery.
Go to auto zone and have the alternator checked out. even a new one can be bad.
