Go to the Department of Motor Vehicles in the state where the vehicle title is currently registered, ask for a temporary transportation permit and explain that you are taking the vehicle out of state. Most states provide a 3 to 10 day transport permit. Of course, all states want to be paid for everything that they do so don't expect the permit to be free. You may be required to provide proof of insurance and a bill of sale or other document showing that you are the new owner.

A home plate collision is usually the case of a base runner that was on one of the bases trying to reach home plate in order to score while the other team's Catcher is trying to block home plate in order to prevent the base runner from touching home plate in an effort to prevent a run from scoring and the runner and the base runner usually slides into the Catcher that is blocking home plate which is what one example of a home plate collision is.

Yes- if the purchase is from a licensed Dealer. A private seller may only sell to a resident of his home state, or to a licensed Dealer/ Collector in any state. A handgun may only be purchased in your home state, but a rifle or shotgun may be purchased in another state. (Except California, which has a state law that prohibits its citizens from buying guns in another state)

No, the "black" is NOT part of home plate. Home plate is 17 inches wide. Some home-plate models have a black edge that extends beyond that 17 inches. The utility of that black edge is to protect the white edge of the actually plate from chipping.

Yes, you can if you are traveling. That is why you are given a temporary license plate. If you are not traveling, but buying a vehicle in another state & bringing it home, yourself i.e. driving it home; it will have a temporary plate. The temporary license plate must & always is registered to the owner of the vehicle. The registration include's their name, city, state, zipcode, car vin, etc. Anyone should be fine, as long as they have a valid temporary license plate, driver's license & insurance.
