How can your email be blocked on a company intra-net even though your name appears on the sent to list?

email filtering at the mail server level is possible, and prevalent in many companies. Reasons for blocking email vary from company to company. Common reasons include undesirable attachments (or any attachments in some places), attached viruses, and content filtering, where the text of the email is run through automatic filters looking for "blacklisted words."

Not really most Intranets are browsed with web browsers, perhaps some company has made a specific Intranet browsers - I have never heard of one though, There are of course many pages inside a company's intranet that are not available from outside.
