Yes there are. There is one in Williams, Arizona, which is very close to the Grand Canyon. If you live there, do note that their water is brown due to Manganese runoff from the mountains.

While Ariizona is certainly not in the North, the northwest or even close to New England, it is rarely called a Southern State which is a term reserved for the lands East of Texas. Arizona hosts the Grand Canyon, but it is in the American Southwest. Perhaps you are thinking of Georgia's Little Grand Canyon which can't hold a candle to the Grand Canyon, but at least is in a Southern State.
