If you're going in June July or August, bring the heaviest coast you have.
The Andean region in South America, particularly in countries like Chile and Argentina, is known for cold and dry climates due to the high altitude and proximity to the Andes Mountains. The Patagonia region in southern Argentina and Chile also experiences cold and dry conditions.
Cold climates in South America are primarily found in the Andes Mountains, which run along the western edge of the continent. High-altitude regions, such as those above 3,000 meters (9,800 feet), experience cold temperatures and snow, particularly in countries like Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia. Additionally, the southernmost parts of Argentina and Chile, including Tierra del Fuego and parts of Patagonia, also exhibit cold climates with tundra and subpolar conditions.
The Atacama is located to the west of the Andes Mountains in northern Chile and southern Peru.

They are cold
Since I live in Chile, I know a lot of things about the animals here. In some parts of Where I live, you can walk out side and colorfull wild parrots are flying around. There are many alpacas and mountain goats in the Andes also. Chiles national animal is the Huemul, an endemic South American deer, since it is found in only Chile and Argentina. It is endangered. There are many penguins in the hot and cold parts of Chile. You might be surprised that we have stray horses roaming around the streets. Once my mother and I amlost ran over one. There are also many spiders and tarantulas here, but most of them are harmless. Once we found a tarantula in our pool cover! One that isn't harmless is the "Rincon Spider." They are found in dark places and corners. I have to say, Chile does have amazing animals.
The climate in the Andes is temperate - therefore very cold and snowy
Well, I'm not exactly sure why the climate is the way it is, but I think it's because of the Andes mountains. Today in class, I learned that the mountains act as a shiled, and the rain can't get to the other side because the mountain is in the way. I'm not sure why, but I'm pretty sure that's the answer
hot and cold
hot and cold
The Andes are the longest mountain chain of mountains in the world.
because of its size, temperatures vary from freezing in the Andes to tropical along the coasts of each country. Each country in South America has its own individual temperatures. For instance, it can get very cold in Argentina.
